Billiards glove tan6/18/2023 ![]() The reality is I'm just a rank beginner and wearing gloves makes me feel that I'm being ostentatious - a show-off and bragging about my non-existent skills. My dream glove: one designed for lefties and invisible, i.e., transparent clear or same color as one's skin (my skin color is same as "Bata" Reyes') so that it doesn't shout to the whole world that I must be a pro because I wear gloves. Sometimes the middle finger portion falls off without my knowing it. While I followed their website measuring instrucions, my right hand is not of normal dimensions so the separate middle finger is too loose while the rest of of it is a snug filt. They're OK for most shots but not so effective for contortionist shots like frozen cueball or open bridge ones because part of the shaft slides on bare skin. Probably OK since I don't like to stand out in the crowd by wearing brightly colored gloves anyway. I would have gone for the sexy yellow Predator or bright red Poison gloves but they only come in configurations for right-handed players. I am a lefty and usually discriminated against because of this, i.e., there are no name brand lefty gloves out there. I already have the remedy, and it is a GLOVE. I don't need people coming on here that obviously don't know/understand the extent of the sweaty hands problem telling me to wash my hands often or other remedies to the problem. I will play gloveless IF my hands won't sweat, which is rare. Similar to the PoolDawg glove but the spandex is just a tad thinner.įTR, I also have a set of the fingerslides and IMO they're okay, just not as good as a glove (they are THICK and a bit cumbersome to put on). My second choice is the Nick Varner brand. The spandex on this glove is a bit thicker on this glove as compared to other brands I have tried, but feels just right when stretched out tight. My hand is on the large side and this glove fits skin-tight, the way I prefer it to fit. It is however a one-size-fits-all type of glove. My personal favorite is the PoolDawg brand. ![]() ![]() ![]() I saw an awful LOT of players wearing one on the SBE live stream this weekend. Even everyones hero Shane Van Boening has been wearing one for some time now. Some in the past have gone as far as calling people names for wanting to wear one.įunny though how this trend of glove wearing seems to be making a slow ascent throughout the professional ranks. Of course you're gonna get all the posters on here that are gonna tell you why they don't like a glove and why you shouldn't wear one. ![]()
